About the TreaTment

At Revere Clinics, we understand that active acne can be a source of frustration and for many people. That’s why we’ve committed ourselves to offering a range of solutions to help you achieve clearer, smoother, more even-looking skin on the face and neck. We’ll work with you to create a treatment plan consisting of the latest technologies and science-backed solutions; we can even work with your GP or Dermatologist prescribed medicines and topicals to provide additional pathways to manage the condition.

We offer a range of active acne solutions, including: VBeam Perfecta, Salicylic Peels, Neogen Plasma and Laser Genesis.

How does it work

Our active acne solutions work by targeting tone or more of acne, such as excess oil production, blood supply, inflammation, and bacteria.

VBeam Perfecta

VBeam Perfecta is a laser treatment that targets the blood vessels that contribute to acne inflammation. By reducing inflammation, VBeam Perfecta can help to improve the appearance of active acne and reduce the risk of scarring.

Salicylic Peels

Salicylic peels are chemical peels that use salicylic acid to exfoliate the skin and unclog pores. By removing dead skin cells and excess oil, these ant inflammatory salicylic peels can help to reduce the frequency and severity of acne breakouts.

Lasergenesis & Neogen Plasma

Lasergenesis and Neogen Plasma are a non-invasive treatment that use laser and Nitrogen plasma energy respectively to target and destroy the bacteria that cause acne. By reducing the amount of bacteria on the skin, both can help to improve the appearance of active acne and reduce the risk of scarring. Lasergenesis is a no-downtime procedure, whilst Neogen can inflame the skin for 48 hours. A course of either of these treatments can also reduce any historical scarring and remodel the skin.

Key Similarities and Differences

All three treatments work by targeting the underlying causes of acne, but each has its own unique benefits and considerations. Our experienced clinicians will work with you to determine the best treatment plan for your individual needs and goals.

FAQ's

When it comes to acne treatment, a one-size-fits-all approach just doesn’t cut it. Not for Revere Clinics at least. To us, every individual’s skin is unique, and so is their acne condition. That’s why we begin the journey towards clearer skin with a comprehensive skin examination conducted by our trusted team of experts.

During this initial consultation, we don’t just look at your skin; we delve deeper. We’ll have a detailed discussion about your lifestyle habits, medical history, and any past treatments you’ve undergone. All these factors play a crucial role in understanding the nature of your acne and crafting a treatment plan that’s tailored just for you.

The severity of your acne, whether it’s a few occasional spots or more persistent, widespread breakouts, will significantly influence the type and number of treatments you’ll need. Additionally, your personal goals – whether it’s simply to clear up pimples or to also address acne scarring – are crucial in determining the treatment path we take.

Our aim is to provide a personalized treatment plan that not only addresses your current acne concerns but also equips you with the knowledge and tools to manage your skin health in the long term. We understand that acne is more than just a skin issue; it’s deeply personal, and that’s why we’re committed to walking alongside you every step of the way on your journey to clearer, healthier skin.

During a Vbeam laser treatment, a special device is applied to the targeted area of skin. The device delivers a pulse of light energy to the area, which is absorbed by the blood vessels or pigment in the skin, causing them to be destroyed without damaging the surrounding tissue. Patients typically relax during the treatment, and many choose to listen to music or even take a nap.

The treatment is non-invasive, and there is typically little to no downtime or recovery time needed. The results are long-lasting, and many patients report feeling more confident and comfortable in their own skin, with a significant reduction in redness, rosacea, acne, spider veins, and pigmented lesions.

When it comes to active acne treatments at Revere Clinics, we understand that the idea of discomfort can be a concern for many. Let me reassure you, while each treatment might have a sensation associated with it, it’s usually quite minimal and well-tolerated by most of our patients.

Our array of acne treatments, whether it’s laser therapy, chemical peels, or other advanced methods, are designed with patient comfort in mind. We’re dealing with sensitive skin conditions, after all. You might feel a bit of tingling, warmth, or a slight pinching sensation during the procedures, but it’s generally not described as painful.

We take every precaution to ensure your comfort during the treatment. Our skilled practitioners are adept at using techniques that minimize discomfort, and we’re always on hand to guide you through the process, explaining each step as we go. Our goal is to make your journey to clearer skin as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Remember, any minor discomfort you experience during the treatment is a small step towards the larger goal of achieving healthier, clearer skin. And our team at Revere Clinics is committed to supporting you throughout this transformative journey.

It’s important to understand that while acne can’t be “cured” per se, but it can be effectively managed. The duration of the results from our treatments varies, largely depending on individual factors like skin type, severity of acne, and lifestyle influences.

It’s a bit like a dance with your skin – a continuous, evolving process rather than a one-off solution. Our treatments are incredibly effective at managing the symptoms and minimizing the triggers that exacerbate acne. However, due to the nature of acne and its various contributing factors, ongoing maintenance might be necessary to keep those pesky breakouts at bay.

Our range of treatments and maintenance options are designed to provide you with the longest-lasting results possible. The key here is personalization – we tailor each treatment plan to your unique skin needs and concerns. This approach not only addresses your current acne issues but also helps in preventing future flare-ups.

The truth is, every skin journey is unique. Some of our patients see prolonged periods of clear, radiant skin following their treatment regimens, while others might need periodic treatments to maintain their results. Rest assured, our team at Revere Clinics is committed to walking alongside you, adapting and adjusting treatments as your skin evolves and responds.

There are 3 categories of Plasma treatments, the first is the product created by spinning blood and taking the nectar of growth factors and regenerative compounds. The second is a primitive “fibroblast pen” that generates controlled (or uncontrolled) burns on the skin.

Finally we have Neogen Plasma, which we use at Revere for active acne. It essentially spares the epidermis to heat the deep sebaceous units to destroy the acne causing glands, and kills the P. Acnes bacteria. You can read more about Neogen here as we also utilise it as part of our resurfacing portfolio of devices.

There are so many exacerbating factors for acne, and there isn’t one magic bullet without resorting to oral isotretinoin (Roaccutane). Luckily, we have access to some of the most expensive and effective devices in the industry and use them interchangeably to create a bespoke treatment plan that will tackle all conceivable factors.
